PrinsengrachtIt is one of the main canals in Amsterdam and named after the historic Prince of Orange. Many canal houses along the Prinsengracht were built during the Dutch Golden Age. The Anne Frank House is one of them and dates from 1635 (at Prinsengracht 263).location Because the Prinsengracht is a long canal, many spots are near the canal. The canal starts near Central Station (about 700m from the entrance), Dam Square 500m and Leidse Square only 200m. Two other famous canals are close by: the (Keizersgracht and the Herengracht.
